Terms of service
Last updated October 14, 2026
By creating a CremTrace account you agree to these terms. If you sign up for a crematory, you agree on its behalf.
The service
CremTrace is a tool for recording the custody of pets through cremation: pickup requests, tags, batches, and the return of remains. The record is only as good as what your people enter. It is not a substitute for your own identification practices, state or provincial rules on pet cremation records, or your agreements with clinics and families. We aren't responsible for mix-ups, lost remains, missed pickups or downtime.
Your account
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- The crematory owner controls who joins the account, including clinic and driver logins, and can disable users at any time.
- Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break in, overload it, or access other crematories' data.
Plans and billing
- Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel any time from the Billing page; you keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for. We don't give partial refunds.
- New crematories get a 14-day free trial with no card. After the trial, or if a plan lapses, your data stays readable and exportable, but adding and changing records needs a plan, and the account has the Starter plan's limits and logins until you subscribe.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email.
Your data
Your crematory's records belong to you. You can export them at any time. See the privacy policy for what we store.
Availability
We work to keep CremTrace running but can't promise it will never be down. The service is provided "as is", and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms and will email account owners about material changes. You can stop using CremTrace at any time; we may suspend accounts that break these terms.
